Air stagnation advisory issued for Tri-Cities
The National Weather Service has issued an air stagnation advisory for the Tri-Cities through Saturday morning.
A temperature inversion with only light breezes is trapping pollutants near the ground’s surface, which can affect people with respiratory conditions.
The Benton Clean Air Agency rated Tri-City-area are quality as “moderate,” a step down from “good,” Wednesday evening. People with chronic illnesses, such as heart disease or asthma, may want to limit their time or activity outdoors.
