Missing Richland boy found safe

Richland police found a missing boy safe after a Tuesday morning search.

Officers searched Bateman Island off Columbia Park Trail for the 9-year-old after he was seen in the area and told someone he planned to skip school.

Police helped the boy’s father continue searching the area and they found him unharmed hiding in a nearby apartment complex parking lot, said police.
