Trends: Benton-Franklin leads state for taxable sales growth

Benton and Franklin counties tallied taxable retail sales of nearly $1.3 million in the second quarter of 2015, a 13 percent increase over the first quarter of 2006.

The statewide average was 9.4 percent over the same period, according to the latest economic indicator from Benton-Franklin Trends. Trends is an initiative of Eastern Washington University’s Public Policy and Economic Analysis Institute to monitor economic, educational and other statistics.
