Log truck tips over in Benton City
About 25 tons of logs spilled onto a Benton City roadway early Thursday morning.
The truck driver was turning from Old Inland Empire Highway onto Highway 225 in Benton City when the rear part of the trailer twisted and tipped over. The cab stayed upright.
A boom lift was used to right the overturned trailer.
The Prosser-based TDR Trucking Co. driver declined to give his name. He picked up the logs from Leavenworth on Wednesday and was en route to Idaho.
It took five hours to clear up the spilled logs.
