Road 100 reopens with project’s early completion

The work that closed Road 100 in Pasco since Jan. 4 has been completed 1  1/2 weeks ahead of schedule.

The road is now open to traffic in both directions from just south of Chapel Hill Boulevard to Argent Road.

However, Pasco officials warn that traffic revisions may be in place at times to accommodate additional work in the area.

The closure was so a small bridge could be removed and the Franklin County Irrigation District canal replaced by a pipe. The district had planned to enclose the open channel for more than 15 years.

Removal of the bridge makes it easier for the city to widen that section of Road 100 in the next three or four years.
