Learn how to volunteer for streamkeeping Jan. 30
Learn about the health of the Yakima River and how to volunteer to monitor it at streamkeeper training Jan. 30.
The free training is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon in the conference room of Ranch and Home, 845 Columbia Center Blvd., Kennewick.
Sessions will cover how to identify local aquatic plants, the current condition of the Yakima River and salmon recovery efforts there, and water safety while monitoring the river or having fun on it.
