Pasco City Council, 7 p.m., 525 N. Third Ave.: elect a mayor and a mayor pro tem; approve a resolution to begin proceedings for the Thorne Annexation and special permits for an AT&T wireless facility at 9915 W. Argent Road and redevelopment of parking lots at Mark Twain Elementary School; and discuss approving an interagency agreement with the Washington Traffic Safety Commission and dividing the Citywide Traffic Signal Improvements Project into two phases.

Kennewick Irrigation District Board, 9 a.m., 12 W. Kennewick Ave.: election of board president, review of conflict of interest policy and approval of Klamath Cottages voluntary mitigation agreement.

Benton County Commission, 9 a.m., 620 Market St., Prosser: approve multiple agreements and contracts for 2016; contract with Heritage Professional Landscaping for snow removal at the Justice Center and the Annex in Kennewick and with Absolute Power for an inmate tracking system; and discuss updating the Fairgrounds Improvement Board guidelines and expectations.

Kennewick City Council, 6:30 p.m., 210 W. Sixth Ave.: discuss ordinances to change zoning for 2905 S. Jean St., 7200 Brinkley Road, 400 S. Clodfelter Road and 318 N. Arthur St.; and hold a public hearing to amend the six-year Transportation Improvement Plan.

Prosser School Board, 7 p.m., Keene-Riverview Elementary School, 832 Park Ave.: community forums, superintendent’s midyear evaluation, instructional materials committee membership, memorandum of agreement with principal’s association.

Prosser City Council, 7 p.m. special meeting, council chambers, 601 Seventh St.: give the oath of office to elected officials; elect a mayor pro tem for a two-year term; and approve a Public Works Trust Fund voucher request for Wastewater Treatment Plant improvements, the Fuel Tax Grant Distribution Agreement with the Washington State Transportation Improvement Board and the Luther Lane improvements project.

Jan. 6

Franklin County Commission, 9 a.m., 1016 N. Fourth Ave., Pasco: discuss transferring two maintenance positions from facilities to corrections.
