Garbage, recycling schedules for New Year’s weekend

Here is the schedule for garbage and recycling services for Basin Disposal and Ed’s Disposal customers around the New Year holiday

All routes in Kennewick, Richland, Pasco and Walla Walla will run on the usual day, including on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Recycling pickup will continue as scheduled in College Place while bins picked up in Walla Walla on Fridays and Mondays will both be collected on Jan. 4.

In the Lower Yakima Valley, all Friday routes will be moved to Dec. 31, though Selah routes will be on Jan. 2.

The BDI Transfer Station will be open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 31 and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 1. The station will be closed Jan. 2.

Basin recycling and disposal offices will be open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 31 and closed on New Year’s Day.

All customers are asked to leave their garbage cans out early.
