RSC-AmeriCorps’ annual literacy program events Dec. 28-30
The Mid-Columbia branch of AmeriCorps’ annual literacy program with has the Force on its side.
The Regional Service Corps’ Warm Up with Cool Books’ reading theme this year is Star Wars mixed with STEM education.
Paired with the program are events that will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Dec. 28-30. Each Mid-Columbia Libraries branch — Kennewick, Keewaydin, Pasco, west Pasco and West Richland — and the Richland library will play host.
The program includes learning about bicycle, water and fire safety, as well as games, arts and crafts. Guest speakers include Miss Tri-Cities Stefanie Maier, area law enforcement and firefighters, and Big Top the Clown.
