Tri-Cities under a dense fog advisory
A dense fog advisory has been issued for the Tri-Cities until 10 a.m. Sunday by the National Weather Service.
The advisory extends across the Mid-Columbia from Connell to Hermiston and from Grandview to Walla Walla.
Rain and snow, possibly mixed with snow, also is likely Sunday morning until 10 a.m. A 50 percent chance of rain is forecast after 10 a.m. in the Tri-Cities as the temperature rises the low 40s.
Rain is likely through the early part of the week, but skies should clear some for Christmas day in the Tri-Cities, according to the weather service. Early predictions do not look promising for a white Christmas, but a slight chance of snow showers is forecast.
