The annual Christmas Lighted Boat Parade will once again fill the Columbia River with holiday cheer.

It starts at 6 p.m. Dec. 4-5. The parade takes off from Clover Island near the cable bridge in Kennewick, traveling to Columbia Point in Richland and then midway through Howard Amon Park, before turning back.

About 18 boats are expected to take part —from a 54-foot yacht to smaller vessels. The Clover Island Yacht Club puts on the parade.

The best vantage points are Clover Island, along the river in Columbia Park, Columbia Point and spots along the river in Howard Amon Park in Richland.

Richland Parks & Recreation also is holding a Winter Wonderland event that coincides with the parade. It includes live entertainment, carriage rides, food and more. Details are at www.tinyurl.com/richlandwonderland.
