Kennewick police searching for chainsaw thief

Police are on the look out for a suspect accused of snatching a chainsaw from a trailer outside a Kennewick business.

The theft happened Nov. 28 outside the Farmer’s Exchange on West Canal Drive.

Police say a man dressed in a winter jacket, gray sweatshirt and black pants got out of a Jeep Cherokee and ran to the trailer to steal the chainsaw. The Echo chainsaw is worth about $330.

Police released a surveillance photo of the Jeep on Wednesday that showed the vehicle pulling a small trailer.
