Light snow, maybe freezing rain in Tri-City forecast

Foggy Tri-City skies will give way to light snow and possibly freezing rain this week in the Tri-Cities, according to the National Weather Service.

An air stagnation advisory for the Tri-Cities has been extended until noon Dec. 1.

Air quality remained in the “moderate” range Sunday, one step down from “good.” Those with chronic diseases, such as asthma, should consider limiting their time outdoors until the inversion clears.

On Dec. 1, occasional slow flurries are forecast between 4 and 10 a.m. A slight chance of rain or freezing rain is forecast after 4 p.m. continuing until 10 a.m. Dec. 2.

Warming temperatures should cause any precipitation later in the week to fall as rain. By Wednesday night, lows should be back in at least the low 30s, and by Thursday, the high should be up to about 40 degrees.
