Rattlesnake Mountain got a dusting of snow on its peak Friday following freezing overnight temperatures around much of the Mid-Columbia.

A heavy frost also coated many windshields of vehicles parked outside, forcing early commuters to spend extra time scraping before driving.

More freezing overnight temperatures, freezing fog and possible slick roadways are predicted Sunday.

A cold front and the possibility of snow in the Lower Columbia Basin is forecast to arrive from Alaska by Monday night.

The accumulations look to be minimal for the lower elevations, but it could be the first snowfall of the year.
