Hermiston Walmart has ribbon cutting Friday

The Hermiston Walmart plans a grand reopening celebration at 7:30 a.m. Nov. 20.

The store at 1350 N. First St. features a new deli with smoked meats, hot meals and catering menu, as well as fresh bread and doughnuts in the bakery, according to a news release.

Free food samples will be available after the ribbon cutting and a welcome event is planned from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 21. It will feature face painting and samples.

The store remained open during its recent renovation.
