Fish scientist will discuss dams in Richland talk Nov. 17
A Pacific Northwest National Laboratory scientist will discuss “Fishy Facts about Hydropower,” or how to reduce the impacts of dams on fish, at the Richland Public Library.
Alison Colotelo helps research survival of juvenile and adult salmonids passing downstream through lower Snake River and Columbia River dams. She also is helping with research on how fish respond to stress during passage through hydroturbines.
The talk will be at 7 p.m. Nov. 17 at the library, 955 Northgate Drive.
