Tri-Cities wind advisory to expire

A wind advisory for the Tri-Cities will expire this afternoon, says the National Weather Service.

Sustained wind speeds of 17 mph were recorded early this afternoon at the Pasco airport, with some stronger gusts. The day has been windy off and on since the early morning hours.

The weekend is expected to be cloudy in the Tri-Cities with a slight chance of rain Saturday and Sunday and a 40 percent chance of rain Saturday night. Sunday could be breezy with sustained speeds of about 23 mph.
