2 hurt in highway head-on north of Pasco

Two people were hurt Friday afternoon in a headon collision on Highway 395, about 23 miles north of Pasco.

Ignacia M. Guzman, 60, of Connell, and Miranda J. Kretz, 20, of Longview, both were taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center, said the Washington State Patrol.

Guzman’s 2002 Ford 150 pickup was headed north in the southbound lane of the highway when it hit Kretz’s 2002 Honda Accord, troopers said.

Kretz was in stable condition on Friday evening. Kadlec officials didn’t have information about Guzman.

Troopers say inattention by Guzman caused the wreck. Drugs and alcohol weren’t involved and both drivers were buckled up.
