Kennewick councilman files for KID board

Mid-Columbia irrigation district customers will vote in several contested races for board seats in December.

Both seats up for election on the Kennewick Irrigation District board have two candidates running.

Board member Patrick McGuire filed to retain his seat, Position 2. John Trumbo, a Kennewick city councilman, also filed for the position.

Board member Gene Huffman filed to retain his seat, Position 5. William McKay, a Kennewick businessman, also filed for the position.

At the Benton Irrigation District, board member Tyler Wilson has filed to retain his seat. He is being challenged by Tim Small.

At the Columbia Irrigation District, Vincent Shawver has filed to continue to represent Division 1. Patrick Grengs also has filed for the seat.

At the South Columbia Basin Irrigation District, Charles Lyall has filed to retain his Division 1 seat. He is being challenged by Mary Ehrhart.

Information on the elections at the Roza and Badger Mountain districts was not immediately available.

No board seats are being contested in the Franklin Irrigation District or the East Columbia Basin Irrigation District.

The election for irrigation district boards is Dec. 8.
