Special meeting scheduled on Tri-City human services

Benton County commissioners plans a special meeting today evening to discuss the future of human services in Benton and Franklin counties.

The meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. in the commissioners’ board room at the Benton County Justice Center on West Okanogan Place.

Commissioners and mental health professionals are expected to be on hand to discuss the possibility of privatizing the counties’ crisis care services.

Dozens of people turned out for a previous meeting on the topic.
