Reach Museum to host ‘Astronomy Night and Star Party’ Oct. 16

Families are invited to enjoy crafts, games, demonstrations and a chance to view outer space through the Moore Observatory telescope at the “Astronomy Night and Star Party” from 6-11 p.m. Oct. 16 at the Reach, 1943 Columbia Park Trail in Richland.

Hosted by the Tri-Cities Astronomy Club and the CBC Planetarium and Observatory teams, the event provides an opportunity for youth and adults to learn about deep space and astronomy.

There will be live demonstrations on black holes, the relative gravity of other planets, and the physics of light travel. Guests can also view the Reach’s current rotating exhibit, “Astrophotography: Time Traveling with Photography.”
