Caitlyn Jenner spotted in Kennewick
Reality TV star Caitlyn Jenner was spotted this week in the Tri-Cities.
Rumors circulated Monday that Jenner, 65, stopped by the Starbucks on 27th Avenue in Kennewick. Photos posted on Facebook and Twitter appeared to show her posing for photos for coffee shop employees.
Jenner’s publicist, Alan Nierob, said in an email to the Herald that he thinks she was driving through the area.
Initial reports that she may have been helping a relative look for a home in the area could not be confirmed.
Jenner tweeted Monday evening she had visited her mother, Esther, who recently broke both her hips, saying her mother was “doing great” and is now mobile. Jenner’s mother lives in the Lewiston, Idaho, area, just over the Washington border.
Bruce Jenner won a gold medal in decathlon for the United States in the 1976 Summer Olympics. He regained fame years after his athletic career as the stepfather on the hit E! show Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
Jenner announced in April he was transitioning to becoming a woman and revealed in a July Vanity Fair cover story that she is now known as Caitlyn. She also won the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at this summer’s ESPN Espy awards.
Jenner’s own reality show, I Am Cait, recently ended its first season on E! Her mother appeared on the show.
