New Wanapum Heritage Center opens Oct. 15
The new Wanapum Heritage Center will open to the public after a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Oct. 15.
The 50,000-square-foot center has new exhibits and displays explaining the culture and history of the Wanapum Band of the Priest Rapids.
The center will be open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends. Admission is free. The center is five miles south of Mattawa at 29082 Highway 243 South.
