Doc Hastings exhibit to be dedicated Oct. 15 at Pasco museum

A dedication for items donated by retired Rep. Doc Hastings, R-Pasco, is planned from 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 15 at the Franklin County Museum.

The exhibit will include Hastings’ desk, a portrait and bills he was involved with that were signed by three different presidents, said Sherel Webb, administrator of the museum at 305 N. Fourth Ave. in Pasco.

The exhibit will also have a cutting-edge digital display, Webb said.

“I’m really excited about it, because it really brings us into more modern times with exhibits,” she said.

Hastings announced his retirement last year after 20 years in Congress, most recently serving as chairman of the House Natural Resources Committee.
