Free car seat checks offered Oct. 14

Safe Kids Benton-Franklin is offering free car seat inspections 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 14 in Kennewick.

Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will be available by appointment.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration estimates that 80 percent of all car seats and boosters are installed or used incorrectly.

Inspections are held at the Washington State Patrol office in Kennewick at 143302 Law Lane, off Highway 395, on the second Wednesday of every month. For more information, call Safe Kids at 509-460-4214.
