9th annual Buddy Walk is Oct. 10 in Richland

The ninth annual Buddy Walk to raise awareness for people with Down Syndrome is Oct. 10 at Howard Amon Park in Richland, behind the community center.

The Down Syndrome Association of the Mid-Columbia is coordinating the event, which includes a one-mile walk plus games, drawings, food, music and other activities. Registration starts at 10 a.m. and activities begin at 10:30 a.m.

Pre-registration is 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 9 at Shelby’s Floral, 5211 W. Clearwater Ave., Kennewick.
