Chaplaincy seeks Cork’s Place volunteers
The Chaplaincy is in need of volunteers interested in volunteering at the Chaplaincy to serve children and teens are encouraged to sign up for the Chaplaincy’s upcoming training program.
Training dates are: Oct. 9, 10, 23 and 24, and Nov. 6 and 7. The 30-hour training program is designed to equip volunteers with the tools needed to work with youth who are dealing with the loss of a loved one.
After completing the program, volunteers are asked to make a 10-month commitment to volunteering at the Cork’s Place, a branch of the Chaplaincy which provides grief support to children ages 3-18 who are mourning the death of a loved one.
Volunteers are needed to facilitate grief support groups. The groups meet every other week during the school year.
