Richland tree bundle up for art
Nancy Doran of the Richland Parks Commission snaps a picture of a Seattle Seahawks-inspired tree sweater Wednesday morning while walking her Siberian huskies named, Loki and Goblin, near the Lee Boulevard turnaround in Howard Amon Park.
The tree wrapping is one of 27 entries by local fiber artists and entered into the second-annual Sweater Weather event sponsored by Richland Parks and Recreation and the Richland Parks Commission.
There’s still time to enter the event, according to Parks and Recreation coordinator Justin Brown.
A guided walking tour is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Oct. 21. For more information contact 509-942-7534.
The wraps will be removed Nov. 1.
