Two-car crash at Highway 395, Yelm injures Kennewick pair

A two-car collision early Monday at a Kennewick intersection sent a man and woman to the hospital.

The crash happened about 6:40 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 395 and Yelm Street, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Adam M. Ibrahim, 39, was driving a Toyota Paseo south on Yelm when he crashed the car into a Honda Accord heading north, state police said.

Troopers say Ibrahim failed to yield and he was cited.

Both Ibrahim, of Kennewick, and the driver of the Honda, Maria B. Lopez-Aguilar, 34, of Kennewick, were taken to separate hospitals.

Both cars were totaled and towed from the scene.
