Hermiston novelist to sign new book

Hermiston author Karen Spears Zacharias will sign copies of her new novel 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 4 at Barnes and Noble in Kennewick.

Burdy: A Novel is a sequel to her novel, Mother of Rain.

Set in Tennessee, the second novel continues the story of Burdy and Rain, the boy she has cared for since birth, whose father was presumed killed in France during World War II.
