Stamp, coin clubs plan show Oct. 3-4 in Richland

The Tri-Cities Stamp Club and Tri-Cities Coin Club are sponsoring a joint stamp and coin show Oct. 3-4 at the M Hotel, 1515 George Washington Way, Richland.

Hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 3 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 4. Stamps, coins, covers and post cards will be for sale. Dealers also are willing to appraise and buy collections brought to the show. Stamps will be available for beginning collectors.

A stamp collecting merit badge seminar will be held for interested Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.

The Post Office has approved a special postal cancellation, honoring the Coyote Canyon mammoth site, for use on both days of the show. Commemorative envelopes with a Mammoth cachet will be sold for $2 each.
