Motorcyclist injured in Kennewick collision

An Oregon man was injured Sunday when his motorcycle collided with a sports utility vehicle at the intersection of Highway 395 and Yelm Street in Kennewick, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Guadalupe Campos, 31, of Boardman, was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe north on Yelm Street about 6:30 p.m. when he collided with Richard Quackenbush, 70, of Oregon City, who was riding a 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan motorcycle south on Highway 395, state police said.

Quackenbush was taken to Trios Health in Kennewick. He was wearing a helmet, state police said. The motorcycle was totaled.

Campos was able to drive his vehicle from the scene. The accident is under investigation.
