A Pasco woman was injured in a five-car pileup near Cle Elum on Sunday, the Washington State Patrol said.
Heather A. Peterson, 40, was driving a 2000 Honda Accord eastbound on Interstate 90 when she slowed for traffic, the patrol said. She was injured and taken to Kittitas Valley Hospital in Ellensburg. Her car was totaled.
Peterson was struck by Harold H. Carlson, 69, of Moses Lake, who was driving a 2011 Honda Accord. He was also taken to Kittitas Valley Hospital, the patrol said.
Carlson was struck by Sheila Vanniekerk, 47, of Spokane, who was driving a 2001 Honda CRV. Vanniekerk was uninjured. While her car sustained damage, it was driven from the scene, the state patrol said.

Vanniekerk was hit by Austin Nelson, 30, of Spokane, who was driving a 1998 Honda CRV. He also was uninjured, and he was able to drive his car away from the scene, the state patrol said.
Nelson was hit by Rovin L. Cordova, 47, of Wapato, who was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban. She was uninjured, and the car was driven from the scene.
All drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the pileup, the patrol said, and the incident is still under investigation.
