State attorney general Ferguson to speak at forum in Kennewick
State Attorney General Bob Ferguson will be the keynote speaker at the Oct. 20 Community Health & Human Services Forum at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick.
Also speaking will be Kristi Haynes with Youth Suicide Prevention; Richland Police Chief Chris Skinner, who will discuss Internet crimes against children; Amy Person with Benton Franklin Health District, who will address the impact of marijuana and electronic cigarettes on families; Kennewick Police Sgt. Ken Lattin, who will talk about distracted driving; Megan Nelson of the Pasco School District, who will talk about STEM education, and Paul Randall with Tri-Tech Skills Center, who will talk about expanding opportunities through career and technical education.
The event runs from 7:30 a.m. to noon and costs $20 to attend. A continental breakfast is included.
