Benton County and Richland firefighters will station themselves with boots in hand for the “Fill the Boot” fundraising campaign, scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 26.
The annual fundraiser helps save and improve the lives of people fighting muscular dystrophy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and other related life-threatening diseases, which take away the ability to move and perform basic, necessary bodily functions.
Benton County #4 will be stationed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Yoke’s Fresh Market, 1401 Bombing Range Road in West Richland, and the Richland Fire Department will be stationed at Fire Station #71, 1000 George Washington Way in Richland.
Proceeds will be donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the programs it sponsors in the Tri-Cities.
