Enrollment open for Richland police citizen’s academy

The Richland Police Department is accepting applications for its 2016 Citizen’s Academy.

The classes begin Jan. 5 and are held every Tuesday at 7 p.m. The academy runs until March 15.

Priority for the classes is given to Richland residents. Police officials encourage citizens to apply now because the academy fills up quickly.

A criminal background check is required.

You can drop off an application at the Richland Police Department or mail one in.
