Kadlec Regional Medical Center placed the final piece of steel into place for its River Pavilion patient tower expansion project Sept. 17 at the hospital campus in Richland.

The beam was painted white and hundreds of Kadlec caregivers signed their names to it throughout the week. The $72 million, four-floor expansion is set to open in October 2016.
