Congestion continues on Columbia Center Boulevard, Canal Drive in Kennewick

A road construction message board warns motorists Tuesday morning of traffic congestion and lane closures at the intersection of Columbia Center Boulevard and West Canal Drive in Kennewick.

The intersection’s signals aren’t functioning because a traffic signal control box was heavily damaged in a Monday morning wreck.

The repairs are expected to continue until Wednesday, according to information released by the city.

Left turns and east-west cross traffic will remain restricted and motorists are encouraged to take alternative routes.
