The technology behind a new gas target neutron generator recently developed by Phoenix Nuclear Labs will be discussed by company president Ross Radel on Sept. 15 in Richland.
The technology has applications in medical isotope production, neutron radiography, detection of explosives and nuclear material, and materials characterization.
Radel will speak at about 7 p.m. at the Red Lion Hanford House, a new location for the meetings of the Eastern Washington Section of the American Nuclear Society.
There is no charge to attend his talk, but those who want to attend the group’s dinner meeting an hour earlier will be charged $22 and should make reservations by Sept. 11 at 509-366-9632 or at www.anseasternwashington.org under the calendar of events.
