A Grandview hiker was found in good health Saturday night after becoming lost on the backside of Clear Lake on White Pass.
The 52-year-old hiker, who was not identified, was hunting for mushrooms and lost his sense of direction as night fell, according to the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office.
The office’s dispatch had telephone communication with him and knew he was between North Fork Road and North Fork River. Noise from a patrol car was used to help orient him and guide him to a deputy looking for him.
