Tri-City Herald website gets a makeover today

Starting today, you’ll see an updated Tri-City Herald website.

Stories will appear faster and in a better format for whatever device you’re using — phone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer.

Tri-CityHerald.com has more modern look, with larger photos and more prominent display of our videos.

We’ve also made it easier for you to connect with us, share stories on social media and sign up for our newsletters and breaking news alerts.

The new navigation is similar on all devices.

For the list of sections, choose the three horizontal lines next to “Full Menu” on the top of the website on desktop computers and tablets. The icon is at the top right on mobile phones.

Today’s four top stories are at the top left, next to a changing list of “Latest News” stories from our newsroom, other McClatchy newspapers, The Associated Press and other news services.

Next you’ll find a list of the top trending stories, the latest videos, a calendar of Tri-City events and other content you already find on our website, including job listings, obituaries and classified ads.

We still are offering the same news sections on the homepage that you found on our previous site — Local News, Nation/World, Sports, Entertainment, Living, Opinion and Business.

The “Login” and “Subscribe” links just under the weather icon at the top of our homepage will help you access digital and print products and manage your accounts.

Your experience of our digital products greatly depends on the settings on your computer or mobile devices. You'll have the best experience on our site using these or newer browser versions: Firefox 21, Internet Explorer 8, Chrome 27 and Safari 6.05.

We may be changing the look and feel of our digital platforms but we aren’t changing our commitment to provide the best and broadest coverage of Mid-Columbia news, sports and entertainment.

We invite your comments and questions about the changes to tricityherald.com in a form you’ll find online at tricityherald.com/customer-service.
