Clean, cool air in Tri-City forecast
Winds over the weekend have blown away the smoke hanging over the Mid-Columbia.
Monday the National Weather Service lifted an air quality advisory that had been in place much of the last two weeks. The Benton Clean Air Agency rated Tri-City air as quality as “good.”
The wind was caused by a cold front that will bring even cooler temperatures than had been predicted last week to the Tri-Cities.
Highs are expected to drop in the Tri-Cities from about 82 degrees Tuesday to the mid 70s Wednesday through Friday and then to about 70 on Saturday.
The normal high in the Tri-Cities at the start of September is 85.
