Garbage, recycling pickup not changed for Labor Day
Basin Disposal has released its schedule for the upcoming Labor Day holiday, which will take place Sept. 7.
In the Tri-Cities area, garbage and recycle pickups will remain on a normal Monday schedule. Members of the public are encouraged to have their cans on the curb and prepared for pickup early to ensure service. The BDI Transfer Station will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 7 at its Pasco location.
In Walla Walla, Monday garbage pickup will remain on normal schedule. All Monday and Tuesday recycling will be picked up Sept. 8.
In the Lower Valley, Basin Disposal of Yakima will be closed on Labor Day and garbage pickup will be delayed until Sept. 8. Commercial services will be caught up through the remainder of the week.
All Basin Disposal offices will be closed on Labor Day.
