Damaged South Richland Thai restaurant will reopen
A south Richland Thai restaurant damaged in a recent storm will reopen in the next week or so after its building is repaired, while its second location near Howard Amon Park in Richland closes after Sunday.
The office, women’s bathroom and part of the dining area of Mezzo Thai at 110 Gage Blvd. in south Richland was flooded during the downpour that inundated parks and damaged the intersection of Volland Street and Canal Drive. Owner Jacqui Wright said she was out of the area when the damage happened but was notified by her staff and repairs are already underway.
Mezzo Thai will shut down its location at 94 Lee Blvd. in central Richland after Sunday as the lease is expiring, Wright said. That led to confusion that the Gage restaurant was also shutting down as it has been closed for the past several days.
