Science festival Wednesday at Richland library

A science festival is planned from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday in the children's department at the Richland Public Library, 955 Northgate Drive.

Activities include cracking geodes to look for crystals, creating a Mentos fountain and folding paper airplanes.

Stations featuring bubbles, Lego bricks and Tinker Toys also are planned for younger kids, along with an area where kids can work on activities such as balancing and sorting, a city news release said.
