Flintknapping workshop planned at CREHST
RICHLAND -- The Columbia River Exhibition of History, Science and Technology is offering an all-day workshop in the art of flintknapping. Participants will learn how ancient peoples shaped stone and try it themselves. An illustrated manual, a set of basic knapping tools and knapping materials will be provided.
The workshop is from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at CREHST, 95 Lee Blvd., in Richland. The workshop is limited to 12 participants and pre-registration is required. Participants must be 14 years or older. Fee for CREHST members is $75, nonmembers is $95. Call 943-9000 for information.
