On this day: Sept. 13, 1923
Attalia Cash Store was entered and goods to the amount of about $100 were stolen. Only 80 cents in pennies was taken. Robbers got away with a leather coat, a mackinaw, some men's shoes, jewelry and other items. The front door padlock was pried off with an iron from a box car. Tramps from the railroad are thought responsible.
