Hanford weather station not hurt from lightning hit

Lightning hit near the Hanford Meteorology Station on Saturday night, knocking out power, said Jeff Dennison, spokesman for Mission Support Alliance.

The station monitors 40 weather instrument sites across the nuclear reservation.

There was no damage to equipment and systems were being reset Monday, Dennison said.
