Where can I watch fireworks for free in Tri-Cities? See 2026 schedules
The Fourth of July is nearly here, marking 250 years since the Declaration of Independence was signed.
This year, Independence Day falls on Saturday, July 4.
Since most fireworks are illegal in much of Tri-Cities, residents may be wondering where they can watch pyrotechnic displays.
There are two official fireworks shows planned in Tri-Cities in 2026.

Where can I watch fireworks along Columbia River in Tri-Cities?
The annual River of Fire festival returns to Kennewick’s Columbia Park beginning at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 4.
Festivities include a kids’ zone with bounce houses, obstacle courses and games, as well as food trucks, a beer garden and live entertainment. Performers include Back Roads, Estilo Diferente and RCA and The Radicals.
Free parking will be available starting around noon. Vehicle entry will close at 9 p.m., according to organizers.
Fireworks begin around 10 p.m., with the sparks casting a glow over the Columbia River.
There will be viewing areas between Sacajawea Heritage Trail and Columbia Park Trail, with additional spots near the Playground of Dreams.
The entire festival is free to attend.
When can I see fireworks for free in Pasco?
The city of Pasco is hosting a fireworks show as part of its Grand Old Fourth of July celebration on Saturday, July 4.
Festivities begin with a pancake breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. at Memorial Park. Breakfast is $7 per person, with proceeds benefitting the Pasco Kiwanis Club, according to organizers.
Kids can take part in a street dance on 14th Avenue from 9:15 to 10 a.m., when the annual parade begins.
The Grand Old Fourth of July Parade starts at the corner of Third Avenue and Sylvester Street, ending at the corner of Fourth Avenue.
The parade is followed by a car show at Memorial Park. Vehicles will be on display from noon to 4 p.m., and contests begin at 1 p.m.
The Independence Day celebration also includes a fun run, inflatables and a cardboard regatta.
There will also be entertainment at Gesa Stadium.
A Battle of the Bands will start at 7:30 p.m., showing off Tri-Cities talent competing for cash prizes. This year, the contenders are Sugarbluff, The Ice Caps, Half-Past Midknight and Spare.
The night ends with a fireworks show starting at 10 p.m.
