A motorcycle driver died in a crash at West Hildebrand Boulevard and South Penn Street in south Kennewick about 8:40 p.m. Friday, according to Kennewick police.

No other vehicle was involved, according to limited information available Sunday morning. The drivers’ name had not been released by police Sunday morning.

They died before they could be taken to a hospital, according to police.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.

Hildebrand Boulevard westbound lanes were closed for a time Friday evening.

It was the second fatal crash in the Tri-Cities on Friday night. A Richland woman was killed and her granddaughter hurt on the Highway 240 bypass highway when a semi hauling an Amazon trailer missed the light at Duportail Street, said the Washington State Patrol.
